SEAI Home Energy Grants
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers a range of supports for homeowners upgrading their insulation. Grants are available for external wall insulation under both individual upgrades and the One Stop Shop scheme.
Who Can Apply?
- Homes built and occupied before 31 December 2010
- Owner occupiers, holiday homes and owner management companies
- Registered charities and Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs)
- Non-private and commercial landlords of tenanted properties
- Homes that have already had one wall insulation grant can now apply for a second wall insulation measure, subject to what was installed first

How Much Can You Receive?
- Detached house: up to €8,000
- Semi-detached or end of terrace: up to €6,000
- Mid-terrace: up to €3,500
- Apartment: up to €3,000
